1. ShareX

ShareX is an open source program that lets you take screenshots of any selected area with a single key, save them in your clipboard, hard disk or instantly upload them to over 25 different file hosting services. ShareX can capture screenshots with different shapes viz. rectangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, triangle, diamond, polygon and freehand. It can upload images, text files and all other different file types and has the ability to capture screenshots with transparency and shadow.


2. Is This Retina?

Retina is Apple’s trademark for a display which is so sharp that the human eye is unable to distinguish between pixels at a typical viewing distance. ‘Is This Retina?’ is a website that tells you at what point the screen becomes retina once you enter your device type, the number of pixels in height and width.


3. SculptGL

SculptGL is a web sculpting app that is powered by WebGL and JavaScript. It features dynamic and adaptive topological tools, along with a more classical sculpting tools viz. drag, brush or smooth. Users can easily make 3D models on their computer screen with SculptGL which is at present the best performance is on Google Chrome.


4. World Meeting Time

World Meeting Time is a free web application that helps users coordinate meeting times with people located all over the world. If you are the one who needs to check out the various time differences and find it bugging to calculate it and figure out the time difference of other countries then World Meeting Time is your best bet as it allows you to enter your time and click on the other country to get their time without any fuss.


5. DIY: Turn A Raspberry Pi Into A Web Server With Google’s Coder

As you all know Raspberry Pi is an effective educational tool that has been successfully modded into many innovative applications and Google Coder is an experimental Open Source project by Googler Jason Striegel, designer Jeff Baxter and a small team based in New York.  It helps create things for web. Now the latest buzz is that Google’s Creative Lab has come up with a piece of software that helps turn a Raspberry Pi into a basic web server. In just ten minutes Raspberry Pi can be converted into a personal web server. All thanks to Google Coder.
